Deep pinks and reds abound on this "Pink Amethyst" geode from Argentina. The volcanic formation in which these specimens occur produces amazing Quartz geodes with iron inclusions that have a soft pinkish red hue with a slight hint of purple. They are referred to as Pink Amethyst because of their similarity to Amethyst geodes from other locations in South America. These come from the Choique Mine in central Argentina. This particular piece is considered amediumsize, as both the geodes and the crystals from this location often do not form much larger than a golf ball.
Approx. 3.5" H x 3" W x 2" D
